Project: Food Budget Weeks 33-37

Posted on by on September 13th, 2012 | 0 Comments »

Update: We moved in August, 10 minutes away from our previous house, but still a big job with two little co-dictators around. We had some friends help and the move itself went very well. Our help was well compensated with pizza and hops;) But moving 2 weeks before school starts was, in hindsight, not the best timing. We didn’t get unpacked as quickly as I had anticipated, which means I fell behind on our food budgeting, 5 weeks behind! That said, I am excited to report that after 8 full months of tracking our food spending I remained within budget!

Weeks 33-37 Spending

Budget:

$200/week or $800/month

$200/month at Costco

Total: $1000/month

A Dinner Menu

Mushroom, Kale and Spinach Enchiladas with Roasted Poblano Cream

Chickpea and Tomato Salad with Fresh Basil

Pizza with a Buckwheat Crust

Salmon and Quinoa Burgers

Roasted Beets and Salad

Clean and Soba Noodles

Lentil and Mushroom Shepard’s Pie

I wonder how all my fellow Project Food Budget participants did this week?
